Jasmyn Nakata

Jasmyn Nakata is the Workshop Coordinator of Hawaii Operations for the Foundation for Financial Education, one of the largest and fastest growing 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the country.

Born and raised in Hawaii, Jasmyn started life with very humble beginnings in Waipahu on the island of Oahu. Although exposure to her family’s lack of a few day-to-day resources may not have been the norm during her childhood, she always appreciated the challenges that her family overcame in order to allow her and her younger brothers a better life. This appreciation later led to her passion, discipline, and drive to help educate those in the community to better their lives and the lives of those whose decisions will directly impact their family. She sees such a need in the community for leaders and teachers to allow for a better more knowledgeable community.

As a mother of two beautiful children, she is a big believer in being able to give before you receive. She is a graduate of University of Hawaii at Manoa with Bachelors in Psychology, and has been steadfast in raising her kids to be leaders that will make an impact for generations to come. She looks forward to any opportunity to better serve others and in the words of John Maxwell she believes that “In the end, people will be persuaded not by what we say, but what they understand.” –this is our mission—to help people understand how their decisions will impact many others for generations to come.
