Angela Winstead is the Community Outreach Director of Dallas/Fort-Worth Operations for the Foundation for Financial Education, one of the largest and fastest growing 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the country.

A Fort Worth resident for over 23 years, Angela is a Texas transplant originally hailing from North Dakota. She grew up sitting around her dining room table discussing finance with her father, a financial wizard. As a child, discussing finance was simply second nature to her- she assumed that everyone talked about money openly. Working closely with the local community is something Angela has always been passionate about. She firmly believes everyone deserves to be financially literate, and it’s her mission to make sure that happens. She is active in community outreaches and even led a business group helping women to understand business, and teaching them how to succeed, see their value, and reach their full potential. A graduate from Metropolitan State College of Denver, her mission to spread the message of financial education has empowered people to take charge of their financial well-being. She believes that it’s impossible to make the best financial decisions without all of the up to date information. To Angela, information is power, and she is truly passionate and driven to ignite change in her clients, enabling them to achieve long-term success. Angela enjoys spending time with family. She also loves cooking, exploring the outdoors, dancing, yoga, camping, trying new foods, reading, and volunteering. Over the decades, Angela has volunteered with many organizations to help raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for members of the DFW community. Some of her favorite community outreach programs are the Tarrant County Toy Drive, Grace, and Art in the Square.
