Profile of Sarah Ong

Sarah Ong serves as a Volunteer Educator of the Kansas City Chapter for the Foundation for Financial Education.

She enjoys helping community members better understand important topics related to estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, and other life planning strategies, enabling them to make informed decisions with greater confidence.

Sarah earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law and also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Missouri–Kansas City Bloch School of Business. Her legal and business background allows her to present complex legal and financial concepts in a practical, easy-to-understand manner.

Prior to her legal career, Sarah worked in Section 42 Low-Income Housing Compliance, where she developed a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and housing policies. During law school, she interned with the Heartland Center for Jobs and Freedom, assisting tenants with eviction-related matters and further strengthening her commitment to serving others.

Through the Foundation, Sarah donates her time presenting educational workshops for individuals, businesses, churches, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations. She is dedicated to advancing the Foundation’s mission by providing accessible, unbiased educational resources that help people prepare for the future with knowledge and confidence.
